Placentas, Oh It's a Bloody Mess! Homo sapiens have the toughest time giving birth. The size of the infant's head is as big as it can possibly be in relation to where, it, um, comes out of. Gorillas, man, they have it easy. But this blog is not a primate, and I don't know of any research being done on intensity of pain one feels while giving birth to one. Until I have a real kid, I have nothing to compare this to. For now, get me the epidural!  ¶ 12:49 AM
